Owner and CEO

EMI Systems Limited

Eyal Mesika is the founder, owner and CEO of EMI Systems Limited, a security systems company headquartered in Nigeria. He is a firm believer in social responsibility, and supports several projects and initiatives that aim to improve the lives of local communities.

Early Years

Mesika was born in Israel and served in a combat unit of the Israel Defence Forces from 1987 to 1990. In 1991 he settled in Nigeria, where he began working for a construction company and moved on to hold a number of key positions in procurement, logistics and administration.

Business Career

Drawing on his professional success and exclusive military experience in defence, Eyal Mesika launched EMI Systems Limited in 1994. He has built it into a company with a workforce of 3,500 highly skilled employees. EMI Systems has its headquarters and manufacturing facility located in Abuja, Nigeria, additional offices in Port Harcourt and Lagos, and a Ghana office located in Accra.

EMI Systems offers specialised 'full options' security solutions to a diverse range of public and private sector clients across West Africa. Its market reach extends to governments, diplomatic missions, embassies, law authorities, international organisations and financial institutions, as well as airlines and the construction, energy and telecommunications industries. It is the leading provider of security solutions for the Ghanaian and Nigerian markets.

The firm designs, installs and maintains a large range of security products for the public and private sectors. Examples include: high-profile security doors and windows, bulletproof cars, anti-intruder systems, specialist scanning equipment and recording devices. These are often purchased in combination with services such as surveillance, training and personal security, as part of a bespoke security package.

Commitment to Social Responsibility

Social responsibility has always been important to Eyal Mesika, and he was proud to found The Mesika Brothers Foundation, a non-profit organisation that empowers children, young people and communities in Nigeria.
The Mesika Brothers Foundation seeks to address the urgent needs of some of society's most vulnerable children by sponsoring two orphanages for infants and children in Abuja: Talitha Cumi and Rachel’s Home for Orphans and Vulnerable Children. The Foundation provides funds to cover the costs of food, furniture and furnishings, basic supplies and building management for these facilities.

Involvement in the Jewish Community

Eyal Mesika is deeply connected to his cultural roots and has personally undertaken initiatives to benefit the Jewish-Israeli community in Nigeria. He has facilitated the construction of the first mikveh (Jewish ritual bath) in West Africa by donating private land in Abuja, as part of a collaboration with the local Chabad House. This partnership has also seen Mesika support large-scale projects like the organisation of Passover celebrations for the growing Jewish community across Nigeria, and the creation of an employment centre for local people with learning disabilities.
